Every August, Harley-Davidson unveils their newest motorcycles for following calendar year. For 2016, we sent out a series of four emails to create excitement about the new lineup. Using large beauty shots of the motorcycles, strong typography, and personalization (including a customized weather report tailored to the audience's location) these emails caused quite a stir this summer.
2015 Harley-Davidson Holiday
Working on the holiday campaign for Harley-Davidson is a design dream for me. The team at Harley-Davidson provides excellent creative direction and photography. They allow me to be very creative, play around with animation and unique layouts, and above all they challenge me each year to blow the previous year's campaign away.
Emails shown include two December holiday alerts, the Black Friday email and the Cyber Monday email.
As a designer at Oracle, I craft email designs for the Harley-Davidson account. Working on such a legendary American brand is a dream come true for me, and I genuinely have fun each time I receive a new assignment. These are a few samples of the designs I have created to drive traffic to their eComm site.
Here are some samples of monthly newsletters I created for Harley-Davidson. They are a fantastic client, always open to innovative layouts, animation, and playful copywriting.
2014 Harley-Davidson Holiday
This is not your average holiday campaign... which is why it was so much fun to work on. This campaign for holiday 2014 came together beautifully with stunning photography, touches of animation, and the Harley-Davison voice shaking up your typical holiday copywriting.
Allstate Rider News
Allstate Rider News is a bimonthly responsive email newsletter I design for motorcyclists insured through Allstate. The Allstate team develops the content, then I work alongside with a copywriter to develop the flow of the email, select and composite images, animations, and typography.
Comcast Email Assortment
Occasionally I contribute to email designs for the Comcast team. Shown here is an assortment of designs I've put together showing the various benefits of Comcast internet, cable, and phone services.
Lemax for Kmart
Lemax Halloween is a brand showcase I worked on for Kmart when I was a designer for the Sears web design team. The featured products are miniature collectable figurines that range from a glowing skull ferris wheel to a killer clown mobile home… very fun! This showcase was very hands on from start to finish, from talking to the client to directing the photo shoot. The idea behind the design was finding the best way to display our original photography while keeping the page clean, organized and modern. Some orange slime later we ended up with the creation, featured live on the Kmart site in fall 2012.
Sears & Kmart Website Promotions
As a web designer on the promotions team at Sears I created and updated content for the Searsand Kmart sites (primarily the Bed, Bath & Home; Gifts; and Furniture & Mattresses pages). My responsibilities included weekly refreshes of the heroes, featured products, and ad spaces.
